What are Demonstrative Pronouns?
Demonstrative Pronouns are used to indicate whether a person or thing is a.) singular or plural, and b.) near or not near from the speaker.'This' (singular) and 'these' (plural) are used if the people or things talked about are near the speaker.
'That' (singular) and 'those' (plural) are used if the people or things talked about are far.
examples:
"This is my bag."
Meaning: The bag is just one (singular) and is near the speaker.
"Those are my bags."
Meaning: The bags are many (plural) and are far from the speaker.
